The Challenge
Something essential is quietly breaking in the way we relate to each other.
Across the world, human connection is under pressure. Many of us feel increasingly disconnected: from ourselves, from one another, from nature, and across generations.
At the same time, trust has become harder to build and easier to lose. As connection erodes, people grow more isolated and the threads that once linked generations begin to loosen, leaving many young people to navigate education and adulthood without the guidance, perspective, and support that intergenerational relationships once offered.
The result is a growing crisis of meaning and belonging: a world where people are connected by networks, yet often lack the human structures that help them feel anchored, supported, and part of a relational intelligence where collective impact emerges.

Sedef is a culture consultant working at the intersection of human connection, community building, and the future of work.
With over 15 years of experience designing people systems for organizations and communities, she is the founder of BirlikteBir.İz, large mentorship initiative connecting generations through shared experience.
Through People Tapestry, she focuses on designing human connection systems that strengthen belonging, resilience, and meaningful social impact.
Sedef Şahin
Bengi is a systems thinker and design strategist working at the intersection of design, technology and communities.
With over 20 years of experience spanning organizational transformation, innovation, and systems design, she focuses on building structures that strengthen belonging, collaboration, and collective capacity.
Through People Tapestry, she works on designing scalable human connection systems, from intergenerational mentorship architectures to leadership resilience networks helping organizations and communities translate strategy and purpose into regenerative futures.

With a background in product, community architecture, and organizational development, she focuses on helping human-centered initiatives evolve into structures that can scale and sustain over time.
